It's a solid piece of material for the right price. Remember, it is not steel so don't expect it to hold up to a lot of heavy impact.

I just can't find these things at brick and mortars. I needed them for the door sills in my sheds as I wanted to protect the plywood flooring edge and rim joists from moisture, mud, and damage from hauling things in and out. These provide a rust proof protector for the sill and the grippy texture prevents accidental slips with wet and muddy shoes/boots. No fasteners are provided, but some 1" stainless steel wood screws work fine (about 12" apart).

The plywood floor entrance under my shed door became worn from lawn mower, snow thrower, bicycles etc. I cut this aluminum threshold to fit across the plywood floor edge that was badly damaged. It covered the damaged area perfectly and I didn't have to replace any plywood. Very happy with my purchase and results

My contractor was surprised at the good quality of this doorsill cover and was able to cut it to fit. Looks great! This sill nosing is shipped with a small, flimsy piece of bubble wrap on each end; the first one I received and returned, had a corner that was totally bent, making the unit unusable. Another reviewer had a similar experience, maybe it is time for M-D Building Products to use packing cardboard.

The product was good, but I was able to return two of these items. I received a refund on one of them, but on the other one, Amazon has been completely silent. Very disappointing.
