I bought these specifically to knit small projects on some upcoming flights. I wanted some that weren't metal, to minimize the chance they would be taken, and inexpensive, so it would be less painful if they were. To my great surprise, these not only work, but work very well! I've never used bamboo needles before; these are smooth and sturdy, minimal splitting of my yarn, but still pointy enough for fiddly stitches. I have not tried taking them thru TSA yet, but I'm really hoping they won't be confiscated because I like them so much. :)

If you are new to knitting and your yarn is a cotton blend, then these bamboo needles are great. Cotton yarn loops are slippery and the slides are slightly rough and are better suited to this yarn.

These needles are great to work with but when I started knitting with a size 6 yarn, I noticed that the metal connector at the bottom of the needle gaps out a bit, creating a ridge. It was pulling a bit on my yarn so I had to put some glue around the edge to make it smooth. I don't know if it's that way for all the needles or just mine. Other than that, the bamboo is great, the length of the circular needle was what I needed and I would buy these again.

These are by far the worst knitting needles I’ve ever bought and I’ve been knitting for over 50 years. The way these needles are made they are CONSTANTLY hanging and catching the yarn on multiple sections of where the needle and cord are put together. It is absolutely awful. Just a garbage product.
