If all one needs is an approximate (within a few degrees) measure in a freezer thermometer, this provides it. I need to keep my five freezers within a few degrees of 0 F, and I check them weekly. But incoming boxes of meat, carelessly dumped, were constantly burying my thermometers. Thus I bought a 14-pack of this product. Now, I don't waste time trying to dig out buried thermometers, I just stick a new one in until the old one eventually re-appears (when we defrost). They are easy to read. One of the better purchases I have made in recent months..

I guess what people are hung up most with is how accurate are they. I bought the package of 5 and all read within a total of a 3 degree spread between all of them. These are not laboratory precision instruments used for science experiments, but good enough for any refrigerator or freezer to trust for your own personal use. For example: So (2) would read 34 degrees, (2) would be 35, (1) would be between 36-37 degrees. Which one is right? Who cares and I will never know. These appear to be very durable. I have had them for several months and continue to rotate from freezer to unfrozen section with very consistent readings. I have since given 2 away to friends as I don't need 5 but could not buy just 1. Sometimes before reading they might need just a small finger tap.

This is a review for the 5 pack. 3 of 5 are on the dot temperature wise compared to a known good thermostat. One is about 2 degrees too low, and another is 3 degrees too high. If you need complete accuracy, look elsewhere. However, if you're like me and just need a thermometer to go into a beverage fridge that is constantly rotating through it's contents, or a fridge thermometer just to verify it's really around 38 degrees instead of 50 these will do!

We’ve had a hard time regulating a refrigerator, and these work very well in the fridge and freezer. Especially the garage units. Easy to read, and the dial tells you the best zone for both. They don’t really hang on the shelves, but they are easily placed on any flat surface.

These thermometers made a very positive initial impression. They were attractive and were accurate. However, in the 6 months I've owned them two of the five have "frozen", that is the pointer no longer responds to temperature changes. All in all, I'd recommend buying more rugged thermometers.
