This oil filled pressure gauge is designed for media which is not corrosive to brass, also where vibration and pulsation is a concern, typical use for plumbing, gardening, agriculature etc.

I bought this gauge to replace an older, messed up gauge on a Binks regulator that I use for spraying paint. I've only used it a couple of times so far, but the gauge looks to be of quality construction and it work as it should. The old gauge had one of those dual pressure faces (PSI & BAR) which I did not like, this one is so much easier to read. I highly recommend

I tested the gauge on an air compressor and seem to be accurate. Ophis is very small less then a 1/16 and wanted it to be 1/8 inch. Tried to remove fitting and ruined the gauge. FYI Fitting is not removable! Not certain why the hole is so small but I feel that could easily get blocked up. I drilled out the ruined gauge and think it is possibe with out ruining the gauge. There is only about an 1/8" to drill through to increase the hole size. Going to try it again. The gauge has a rubber/silicone plug for the Glycerine. Not certain how well that will stand up to harsh conditions?My purpose for this Guage was to measure oil pressure to confirm oil pump failure. Now I have to wait for the new Guage.

I've used a LOT of pressure gauges through the years on street rods, race cars, and work projects.I'll never buy an unfilled gauge again. They just don't last. These do!

We had a new hot water heater installed, but wanted to check on the water pressure in the house afterward as it had been reset with the installation. After buying two adapters (which together would allow us to attach the water pressure gauge to an outside tap), we compared the pressure we measured outside to the pressure number the plumber had given us. It matched, so I am confident that our new water pressure gauge is quite accurate.

can this gauge be used for water.. looks like has a snubber in it for hydraulics.

I purchased this to replace the pressure gauge that had broken on my RV water pressure regulator. It worked well and was easy to read last year. This spring it is not working. Perhaps the mechanism froze (I don't know). I have purchased another one, but we will see if it survives next winter. Maybe they are just meant for warmer climates ...
