This is the first meat slicer I've ever owned...but I love it! I was looking for that "shaved" deli meat and found it here! This slicer performs as expected, it's quiet, powerful, easy enough to clean, and I get anything from shaved meat to meatloaf slices. It's perfect!

This slicer works quite well. IF you expect to this to work like the big professional model at the deli where the operator slices in a big hurry and the meats come flying into a pile, you will be disappointed. If you want a home slicer, at a fraction of the price of a pro model at the deli, this one will work. Easy to operate. Easy to clean and cleans up nicely. It does the job. Follow the directions. Dry meats and cheese will always crumble, even at the deli. fits into my 10 high x 14 in drawer nicely.

So far used it to slice ham and lettuce. Works fine in both cases, however pieces to be sliced need to be cut down to about 6 x 6 inches maximum to fit carrier. Food need to be held fairly firmly against blade but slicing motion is easy. Overall, a good first slicer and good value.

This slicer is much quiter than I exlpected. Does a pretty good job slicing homemade bread. I think next time put the bread in the holder with a fresh flat side of the bread to the plastic push bar with the teeth to give them something better to hold. The rounded end of the loaf slips in the holder and makes for poor slicing. All in all it does a really nice job with my bread. Next time i'll try and make a video.

My wife wanted this and uses it frequently. I bake sourdough bread; she slices it, puts in a bag and puts in the freezer.Whether it's a sirloin tip roast or whole turkey, she slices up the leftovers for sandwiches.It's easy to clean and works exceptionally well.

Update: The platform is not long enough to slice round artisan breads. Also no mention where to replaceable blades or how to sharpen them. Considering returning it .I really wanted one of these to slice my homemade bread. Now I was so impressed wih the way it performed, that I've decided I'd like to try it with luncheon meats! I think this is a great kitchen essential appliance. I was amazed at how quiet and lightweight this machine is yet stayed in position on the counter. It's not very different from a major top brand that I won't mention made for home use. This was a great price point also. It does have a plastic and metal but In think it will hold up well. Pretty easy to clean except... I did notice some crumbs slid under the back cover and the adjuster knob.The reason why I can't give this a five-star rating like I would, is issue with the instruction booklet that could be easily resolved. Number one it doesn't tell you why you have two different types of blade edges and how they are used. I'm a beginner so I had to look all this stuff up. Secondly I wouldn't want to put the blade in the dishwasher. Because you would remove the lubricant that's needed. The lubricant the second thing. As far as maintenance goes it doesn't tell you what type of lubricant is good for blades in the future. I'm sure I know it's going to be a food grade lubricant.
