Product is pretty tough even though its made out of plastic. Rollers with pyramid-shaped dimples are to do the job of tenderizing and while it is better than nothing, they don't "cut" the fiberous stuff in the meat so its not really as good a job as could be done with a blade-style tenderizer.Super easy to use and to clean (drop it in the dishwasher.)Is it worth getting? I'm not really sure on that. You might just as well get a dimpled hammer and pound your cutlets and don't bother with messing around with storing attachments and cleaning them. I followed this purchase up by purchasing a stand up model that has rollers with blades and that does a MUCH better job of tenderizing. Now I wish they would combine the two designs so I could have blades in a mixer attachment--that would be perfect!

I am glad to find non- Kitchenaid branded attachments that work well with the Kitchenaid stand mixer I have. This attaches easily and works well.This is a great attachment for tenderizing all sorts of meat, especially if you buy in bulk and want to pre-tenderize before marinating or placing your meat into the freezer. The attachment cleans easily and can be placed into the dishwasher. This does not feel flimsy, and should last a long time.
