These MECCANIXITY gold-tone guitar replacement frets look and feel great on the neck of my 1970s Martin Dreadnaught. I had played the first and second frets of my favorite guitar down to the point where I had a bad case of fret-buzz. I had the frets crowned, and that helped for a bit, but the buzz was soon back. These replacement frets rectified that situation for me, and more. I pulled the first and second frets off my guitar, and replaced them with two of these MECCANIXITY replacement frets. They went on smoothly, and they look great with the gold-tone tuners on my Martin. The replacement frets were easy to trim, and with a few tools, and a good bit of attention to detail, they have my guitar playing as good as before. I waited to write this review for six months, because I wanted to see how they held, and how they withstood the amount of use they would get on my favorite Martin - and now I can report - I totally approve. There is no undo wear on the crown, and they have not lifted or shifted on the fretboard. I am now considering replacing the frets up to the fifth fret, since they all have a bit of wear showing, and the gold tone looks great - much more cohesive than the silver frets that came stock.
