I used this to keep a mini freezer door closed because the kids don't check to see if the door closed all the way. I'm not sure how this is called a lock, it's a retractable cable closer which is the purpose I needed it for. The double-sided sticky tape by 3M had failed after a half a week, I will be replacing the tape with a much stronger tape.
