The packaging came with very clear instructions to wind the timer all the way to 55 minutes, and *then* set it to the time you want. If you do this, it works exactly as described. If you don’t and you get mad that it doesn’t ring, I’ll have to assume you can’t read. Seriously. I was skeptical of this product due to the reviews until I tried it myself and realized a lot of the reviews are made by impatient people who either can’t or won’t read the short leaflet that is the first thing you see when opening the box. It’s a mechanical timer, not a digital one, of course it’s going to work differently than what you’re used to with alarm clocks.That said, when you follow the instructions, this product works excellently. I purchased it to use the Pomodoro method while I’m working from home, and this cute little fox guy sitting on my desk makes me want to use it all the time! It does tick, but I find it relaxing and it keeps me focused much like a metronome would. The ringing is also loud enough that I can definitely hear it from anywhere in my apartment, but it shuts off after a couple seconds on its own. It’s also much smaller in size than any clock I came across while still being easily legible. Easy to use, doesn’t clutter my desk, and overall a great deal for what I paid.

I ordered this for my five year old granddaughter. She loves it. She’s learning to tell time and I thought the timer would teach her different wait periods. She’s excited to set it to bake and different things also. I was happy with the price. It seems well made. It’s loud enough to hear in another room so I like that. It seems to work good. They haven’t used it yet but she winds it and it goes off. That’s a good start. So far happy with purchase. Would buy again.

I bought this adorable fox timer for my kids (ages 6, 8, and 9) to help them manage their time better—whether it’s for TV, homework, or even keeping showers reasonable. It’s so simple to use, the quality is great, and I was pleasantly surprised by the low price! I’ve even been using it in the kitchen and loved it so much that I ordered a second one. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cute and practical way to keep on schedule!

Living with very high humidity, small electronics with batteries have very short lives. I was tired of replacing digital timers and the classic white wind-up timer that I considered had somewhat poor reviews. This little one is simply darling, is loud and totally works! The only issue is it’s difficult to clean and stains easily. Wish it had a glossy or stain resistant surface vs. silicone. Otherwise a great purchase.

Of course it's adorable, a good quality and does keep good time. I use it when I have a few foods cooking at the same time. It is a great value for the price, and has a pleasant bell. So helpful to have it.

I have severe arthritis in my hands and pushing buttons is painful so I went back to old fashioned timers and can turn this so easily. It’s accurate and I just think the fox is sweet!

I ordered a mechanical pomodoro timer and it doesn’t work :( but this one does work! And it’s cool
