I have purchased several tools Azuno/Mecurate tools and this is my favorite to date. I previously purchased the plastic version of this which was decent but had flex issues that led to slightly inaccurate readings. This one fixed all issues. It is solid aluminum and has a very stiff pivot point. This means it stays where you stop it and doesnt accidentally shift when handled. I checked it against my engineering squares and other known angles. It was very accurate and has no play in the hinge. I highly recommend this tool for speedy miter joint angles.

Worth its weight in gold, if you're re-modeling older homes where nothing is plumb or square, just place it in the corner to get your angle, and set your miter saw accordingly, and you're good to go, I used it on baseboards, which is probably the simplest application for this instrument, I don't have moulding in my house, but it also is used quite extensively for that purpose, all I know is that it's accurate, and you can get precise cuts with very little effort. It pays to watch a couple of You Tube videos if you really want to get the hang of this instrument, I'm happy that I bought this because it saves so much time making miter cuts.

It took a little time to understand instructions & implement properly but once you got use to reading the scales you become more comfortable with the tool & the results show. Tight fitting joints.
