I love what I call " convenience gadgets". And this is truly one. It took me a few days to "figure it out and get it right". Once I did, I tossed the old miter box. This is wonderful.Highly recommended and yes I would purchase hase again if need be.

The idea is one of a kind. Unfortunately, the teeth that open and close both sides are too large allowing about a 5 - 6 degree play in the unit. Put it on one of my corners and locked down. When I removed it, it wiggled. I looked closely and found the teeth on the bottom weren't meshing tightly and allowed the unit to move. Would NOT make a clean and accurate cut.

It's impossible to stabilize this and make a proper cut. It's too flimsy to be clamped down on a work bench. A waste of $$$
