Definitely have to give five stars here. Tippers are very hard to find, and preferences differ greatly due to style of playing. I was surprised how balanced this was, and the quality is very good. I play traditional/Galway style and triplets are very important for me. I can fly pretty fast with this tipper. Easily keeping up with all the polkas and fast tempo tunes in my session. I liked it so much, I bought another one just in case I lost it somewhere. The new one that they sent was just a little bit thinner. So the actual product might differ a little bit. I actually liked the smaller tipper for lighter playing, but the “regular” was best for me…. I bought another just in case.

Light weight. Knobbed ends make triplets and rolls easy.

It's just about perfect for me, the right length, could be a tad heavier; but it's one of my go-to tippers. This is mass produced, not a fancy handmade tipper, and while it's fine straight out of the box, I personally super sanded down the ends with 800, 1000 & 1200 grit sandpaper to get an almost teflon smooth feel to the tips. At less than $10.00, I may buy a couple more just to experiment with brass inserts for weight changes.

I like the larger heads on this tipper and the balance for doing 3 beats, the center knob for gripping is a little large, but the balance is good and it works well.

I've only been playing the bodhran for a few months now, and I wanted a lighter and longer stick as the one I had was short and kind of heavy. I've adopted the top-end style of playing, and this stick does the job nicely. The stick's light weight allows for quick strokes, and allows me to feel relaxed when I play compared to the club I was using before. The finish has worn off on the tip, but this is completely understandable given it's use. This is a good first stick for me anyway.

Smooth wooden tipper. I am not a professional bodran player but I do have a nice lovely one that I will play on occasionally. I lost my old tipper and this was a nice replacement.Pros: light weight, smooth, easy to use.cons: not as wide a circumference for my hands as I would have liked.Overall: a good tipper for lighter sound. Recommend.

I tried three other styles from other companies and they were either too thick or too thin. This was spot on.It took me a couple of minutes to get the grip right. There is a large swell and a wide notch below it that makes it seem like both gripping fingers should go below. As soon as I shifted one finger to the center of the swell (see picture), it played like it was built for me. Rolls are perfect and completely controlled. Regular play never gets loose. I love it.

Acquisto consigliatissimo!

My favourite tipper as a beginner on bodhrán. I find it easier to do rolls than on my hot rod topper. I like the grips at different spaces on the tipper so you can try both grips.
