Perfect. I go through one of these drums about every 9 months or so with the strength at which I play and how often. But these are the best for traveling and not worrying about fluctuations in temperature. Very consistent drum. Always a lovely sound.

So this was my very first frame drum and I also ordered the very popular Remo 16" Buffalo Bahia Black Earth drum as well, which is arriving tomorrow. I listen to and watch videos from Norse/Celtic Pagan folk bands like EiWar, Eivor, Heilung, A Tergo Lupi, OTYKEN, Othala, Omnia, Faun, to name a few and wanted to play the drum like they do in their songs. I have been looking up my game and improve my rhythm as I play the Ukulele, acoustic Guitar, NAF, and the Tin Whistle. This will make me a better musician, and allow me to connect with the warrior and beast side within. The primal beats are calling.

I assumed this was going to sound like their basic Fiberskyn frame drums, which tend to be kind of ringy. I was glad I took a chance. The deeper shell makes the sound much more full-bodied. It sounds close to that of a natural skin, but there is still a little ringing that is generally unavoidable with artificial heads. Of course the trade off with "authenticity" is that the tuning isn't subject to weather conditions. The internal rope handle is comfortable to hold.

So happy with this 14 inch buffalo frame drum! Arrived via Prime delivery today.Quick and efficient 1- day delivery.The frame of the drum is very sturdy. Handle at back of drum is easy to hold, baton included is sturdy. The weight of the drum is perfect. Not heavy at all. I've used drums up to 24" and my arms get tired after drumming for a couple of hours during a drumming circle. Looking forward to trying this size. I'm really impressed with the quality of the drum. It is outstanding! The sound and tone are deep and rich. Great value too! I highly recommend!

Ich habe die Trommel als 2. Trommel gekauft. Meine Echtfelltrommel macht bei Feuchtigkeit schlapp. Diese hier ist super. Verwende die für draußen und in der Schwitzhütte. Klappt sehr gut. Sie hat einen tollen Klang. Sie "singt" auch ganz schön. Kann ich echt empfehlen.
