I got these because I remember having something very similar as a child in the early 80s. I ended up using these with my special needs students over the summer in school and they were a huge hit! My students with limited mobility and dexterity were able to create paintings/pictures with ease. They come out really nice and are just fun for the kids to work on.

I have a 3, 6 and 7 year old. I didn't have to worry about making too much of a mess. My 3 year old enjoy using water and the paintbrush to use this activity.

All you need is a cup of water, brushes are included. What a great idea! The watercolors are printed onto the pictures and spread with a little water and very little effort. My four-year-old granddaughter loves to sit and paint with me. She is much faster than I am, so she often completes two or three before I finish one but I'm trying harder to stay in the lines! Not the best project for a wooden surface as you will get some on the project surface, but countertops wipe off easily. Does not stain skin or clothing.

I think the Melissa and Doug paint with water books are a great activity for young children. Each book came with its own paint brush. I was hoping the brush would be a little more thick for small hands.

I bought these for my 2-year-old grandchild as her older sibling has a paint set and I want her to be able to paint too. It works amazingly well and she loves painting with just water just be careful because if there's a lot of water the colors will blend together. This is something we have taken with us to restaurants to keep them occupied and it works amazingly.

I have never been so impressed with a water paint book before lol. I was shocked at how many diff shades and hues of colors u can make with this book. Normally these types of books give u just the most basic colors, but not these ones. You can get 3 diff shades of blue on the same page depending if it's water,the sky or part of an object ( for example). Each book comes with a paintbrush and the pages are nice and thick so the paint doesn't bleed thru easily. U can also rip them off quick and with a smooth tear if u want to display them on the wall or fridge, as they have perforated tops! I will only buy this brand for water painting books from now on and I highly recommend u try them out yourself!

Used these as Easter gifts and at my toddlers birthday party as a fun activity to keep the kids entertained and not running out so much they definitely still ran around but for a little bit it was cute to watch them use this!! Clean up is easy too I just ripped out pages for each kid

My kids (2 and 4 years old) love those books. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed since I received the fairy book instead of the pirate book.
