This paint marbling kit is easy to set up and easy clean up. The water thickening solution needs to set six hours before the paint can be added. My five year-old grandson was able to follow the instructions and create some amazing pictures! We tried the paint solution on clean river rocks and the colors were faded. Also we tried cardboard and the effect was dark. I used Press and Seal to keep the solution for another day. Eventually we used all the colors and got shades of black. LOL

My granddaughter loved this activity and the paintings came out beautifully. You have to remember to start the gel in the morning as it takes at least 6 hours. Also, after a few paintings, it gets murky. More gel packets should be included with the kit.

Just something to think about before you purchase... this water and solution has to set for 6 hours before you can use i. My 5 year old was not happy about that.
