Bought this for my then 2 1/2 year old at Christmas. She loved it then, and will continue to play with it for a long time. Like all M&D products, it is well-made and sturdy. She is naturally good with letters, but this game has started her recognizing words and working on the idea of spelling. She loves playing with whomever will play with her. Older kids like it too!

My son is paw patrol obsessed! I had a different toy that was similar on my wish list but then I found this last minute. I’m so glad I did! It’s cute and good quality! It’s a Christmas gift so my son has not received it yet but I’m sure he will have lots of fun with it! I am editing this because I’m not sure if this publishes my son’s age but he is 10. He is disabled so this is appropriate for him due to that reason.

So, I was skeptical about grabbing this. However, I couldn’t resist because the price was low.. around $12. My 3 yr old loves it and she’s pretty advanced. For the reviews that said they didn’t understand the gaming concept, it was obvious how to play. It’s fun honestly! All it takes is a fun personality and the game is a hit! Love Melissa and Doug

The wood arrived glued upside down, splintered and had to be repaired.The M&D sign blocks the letter from being put in when it isn’t hiding the spellings. The letters are printed in a pattern that some words can’t be spelled.

A great toy for all ages. The flashlight and search book were a favorite. It’s almost like a fishing game saving the animals with the hooks. My grandson loved his paw patrol badge. Kept all 4 grandkids interested and playing together which is a wonderful thing.

The bigger pieces are good quality as you expect from this company and for this price. I love that it's non electronic. But the bolts and small pieces are junk. The screws are like pressed sawdust, and are falling apart. The paint is coming off of the small pieces, and he's only played with it 4 or 5 times. So we just took the small pieces away, which was the whole point of the toy, to promote hand/eye coordination.

With the double sided letter blocks, finding which letter you need provides added problem solving skill building for your child. I like how the blocks rest against the picture card and drop into the collection tray upon removal instead of falling and scattering. It's the quality wood construction I've come to know and expect from the Melissa & Doug brand. The letter tiles are rounded at the corners, smooth, and large enough to not be a choking hazard. Kids enjoy it and that's what matters.

My 5 year old loves this toy, great way to practice spelling and engaging with words/reading. Well made and worth the price.
