Your cart is empty.The Mercer Industries line of backing pads is designed to support its various discs including psa discs, hook and loop discs, quick change discs and fibre discs and fit on angle grinders, die grinders and orbital sanders. Made of the finest raw materials designed to support the disc and be flexible enough to allow the disc to respond to material being sanded. It is mandatory that all discs be used with a backing pad.

I put this straight into production run in my fabrication shop and it held up nicely for roughly 150 pads. The guy using it is notorious for being rough on tools especially abrasives and I really can’t complain about its performance. What took it out of service was the fact he melted it while running 40 grit. I’m gonna tell ya it wasn’t the tools fault.

Hard plastic, Not soft Rubber. Nice though.Should work ok. Will probably last longer than the rubber that dries out.?We'll see?

This item fit my 4.5" grinder great and works great. It didn't come with a tightening tool so I had to make one. Needs to come with this tool.
