This was purchased as a replacement for the broken one on our outdrive. It performed exactly as expected, bringing the steering force back to neutral. Great price when most boating related items are extremely inflated.

Seemed like an exact replacement for my original Mercruiser Alpha One stern drive trim tab. When I went to install it, however, it appeared to have a different thread than the outdrive screw that holds it in place. Not wanting to make this into a long ordeal, I lubed the threads and worked the screw back and forth until I succeeded in rethreading the trim tab with the stainless steel screw, as I didn't have a tap and die set at the boat site. It took a bit longer than I anticipated, therefor, but eventually it tightened into place and I expect it to work for years to come.
