MESTEK IR05B High Temp Infrared Thermometer Pyrometer, you can precisely measure temperatures from -40℉-3632℉（-40℃-2000℃）±1.5% accuracy with 2 measurement modes:Non-contact and probe.
K-type thermocouple: -10°C~500°C(-14°F~932°F)
For the contact or food thermometer measurements, simply clean the probe and insert where you want to measure, such cooked food at a BBQ.
For the non-contact measurements, sately and accurary measure temperatures form a distance with the non-contact laser design.

Very simple to use and accurate. I haven't used the included accessories, like the leads, yet, but they're nice to have. Make sure you aim it properly so that both beams are hitting your target.

This is a reasonably priced infrared thermometer gun that comes with a probe and a carrying/belt case. The case is nothing special, but if effective. There is room to store the instructions and probe in the case if you slide the instructions in the back before you place the thermometer. And you can slide the probe in the case near the handle.It seems to operate very well and feels well built. It uses two AA batteries (included) and is easy to operate.

Tried this with molten bronze. It would not read accurately. The numbers were all over the place. I would not recommend this product for smelting. It just doehave what it takes.

I like this thermometer temperature gun. Easy to use, I typically use this when I am making candles to ensure my products are at a safe temperature.

The first thing I noticed when opening the package was a strong stench of cheap plastic...it almost smelled toxic. Luckily it doesn't feel as cheap as it smells. The second thing I noticed is that it's also more bulky than I expected, at least compared to my old temp gun. It performed well, though. It reads consistently lower than my other gun, but I have no way to verify the accuracy of either. The laser guides are skewed several degrees clockwise (if I'm holding the gun at 12 o'clock, the laser would be about 1 o'clock). The K probe is slow to read, and isn't visibly clear which way it needs to be plugged in, otherwise it reads incorrectly. The display is bright and clearly legible.
