I am a home owner and I needed a decent meter for doing work around the house, our hybrid cars, and our two A/C units. I know Fluke is the best, but I’m not a pro.This is the best unit for the money. I looked at a high-end Kaiweets, but it wasn’t as accurate, nor as robust feeling, as this. A newer, high-end AstroAI is very similar, but misses on a few items. This was far less expensive than a similar Fluke.The unit is meant for more serious work, as it has an interface and a working mode on the dial for the 3,000 Amp iFlex Flexible Current Probe from Fluke. The multimeter will actually measure that amount +/- 3.0% + 5 digits. This is not something home owners would encounter, but it’s there—just buy or borrow the probe.Also, the display is very clear in the brightest of light, and the backlight lets it be seen at night, under the hood, as I’ve used it. OLED and LED displays look nice indoors, but can be problematic in daylight.At least one reviewer has complained of the meter’s auto shutoff. The manual says, on the bottom of page 7, how to turn off this auto shutoff feature. You turn off the meter and turn it back on while you press the HOLD key. That lets you keep it on until the batteries die, if desired.If you want something under $150 with the majority of these features, this is your best option.The tiny booklet probably needs to be scanned. Don’t lose it.Anyone learning about electricity would benefit from this unit.

I'm so mad, I just spent $89 to get a meter that will measure full load amps on an engine DC starter motor. It says right in the features AC/DC inrush current as a feature. It only does AC inrush current. Freakin Chinese junk with false advertising as usual. It might even be a decent a meter, but without the advertised inrush current, it's WORTHLESS TO ME. Returning the piece of garbage. Isn't it amazing that you have pay for returning something that manufacturer screwed up in their listing. It's always the consumer that gets screwed in the end. Stay away from this maker. They probably don't even know English.
