I start my garden seeds with this mat. Works great. Has dial for setting temp. The down side is you have to use Thermometer to verify temp.

I've seen some good and bad reviews, but it's like that with all the heat mats. I'm glad I tried these, because so far so good! My seedings have started to come up in 3 days and I don't have it set to full heat, only halfway.

I bought two and liked them so much I bought two more. Using all four for a month with over 60 tomato plants, and 12 zucchini plants and 18 pepper plants doing great. There are a couple of cool spots but small. I rotate the plants and am amazed at the faster growing time. 100 percent seed germination.

heated up ok. temperature varied from edge to center. I used a digital temp laser for observation. In my case temps were not that critical to warrant a bad review. All readings occurred in a 65 degree controlled basement environment. The thermostat controller had no marks for temps so I made my own. Not bad for the price but there are lots of them on the market to look at
