Works as should! It’s a hard mat to roll out and place something heavy on it to flatten it out before you put seeds on them. Hopefully they speed up germination. Otherwise easy to use. I had germination within three days!

I’ve had this for 2 growing seasons now and they still work great! Seeds germinate well in them. It doesn’t burn the surface they lay on and seems like the perfect temperature for starting seeds indoors.

Loved the 3 rolled heat mats! Just remember to mist/ water your trays. Plants grow faster and need the water often! Like every day and remove to larger pots when 1†high. Heat will dry roots and plant goes wilted when heat pad is left on after plant emerges! I will be buying 2 more in Feb 2025!

I bought a bunch of these heat mats to help me germinate veggies for my garden. This would be my first year starting seeds indoors versus direct sewing seeds. With our winters stretching, my growing season is steadily decreasing. Unfortunately, there is very low direct sun and no heat in the basement. So, I purchased these to help with my process.As you can see: I filled a small nursery in my basement with domed germination trays. These heat mats worked very well. Notice the dome is full of condensation. There were no cold zones on the heat mats. They helped to create a lot of condensation so I didn't have to water one bit to get the plants to germinate. I simply hydrated the soil before planting seeds and the heat mats and grow lights did the rest of the work.It was almost as cold in the basement as it was outside once seeds germinated. As a result, I did leave the heat mats on while waiting for it to warm up enough to transplant.I do have a few issues/notes. There is no temperature gauge on this unit. It's either on or off. I would also like if there was a timer on this unit as there were times when the basement heated up and the units didn't need to be on. But, alas, up and down the steps I went. 😩😄 I would also like if these units could be plugged into one another like some Christmas light plugs. Another concern is that I'll have to figure out a protective boundary. I had zero issues with sparks but 1) these units are not grounded so I was always concerned with them slipping out and 2) when lifting domes, condensation drips everywhere. I was very concerned about water splashing on the surgery outlets and the impact. I will jerryrig something next year just for my own peace of mind.Overall, it was a good buy. I bought 6 or 7 sets (of 2) in March'ish of 2021. I unplugged them all in late May (from 3 different pricy but safe surge protectors) when plants were able to be transplanted. I look forward to using these next year. They are stored inside the nursery just laying flat on the shelves. I'll definitely give an update next Spring if they don't work. But, I'm hopeful.

This is my second time purchasing these. The first time I only bought the single mat and now I wish I bought the double both times! They are perfect for starting your seeds inside before it gets warm enough to plant. My garden will be bursting!

The heat pads do speed up germination and growth of cucumber and tomato seedings grown in my basement under plant growth lights. I will trans plant these plants into my garden as soon as the night frost threat is gone. Theses pad are an excellent idea!Jay Bartsch, Brooks Alberta

I dont know how I ever got any seeds started before i got these mats. They are great. I dont have to worry about if my seedlings are warm enough because the heat in my house changes at different times of the day and seeds just beginning life need a warm temperature constantly or that is what I found. And these mats will last a long time, they are well made and sturdy.They arrived so fast too. I got them in only a few days using amazon prime.I am very pleased with this purchase and I have already told others about how great they are.

I suggest you use a cheap temperature controller with these mats. One controller works for both mats. I use this to start hydroponic seedlings, so there is no soil mass to heat so it gets too warm otherwise. I use a $20 temp controller and put the probe in a hydro seed block..works perfectly. They come packed tightly in a box and it takes some effort to get them flat...which is mildly annoying if you are OCD about stuff like that. I am so I put them under a piece of 3/4" plywood and a 5G pail of water (50#) for a couple of days and they came out much flatter.

Worked as promised, really help over the spring to give heather massive plants we now have growing in the raised beds.
