New cat and a TV = possible mayhem! So we tethered the tv to the wall. You can attach both ends via screws or adhesive. You can lock it to size to make sure there’s not room much wobble in it. It has a little bit of movement in it - which is a good thing

I needed to secure the bedroom TV for my toddler, but I didn’t want to install something as serious and complicated as a TV wall mount since I like to rearrange the room a few times a year.Installation took a little more than 5 minutes, and part of that time was me watching the video to be sure I got it right before I stuck anything on my wall, lol. If you’re not planning on using screws, it may be easier to put the plastic pieces on the metal bars first, that way you can get the perfect position on where to actually stick them. The first one I stuck to the wall, installed the metal piece, stuck the adhesive to the TV, and then I found that I had to pull it from the TV a few times as when I went to secure the bar I found that it was a little off and moved a bit as it tightened. For the second one, I secured the adhesive to the metal bar on both ends first (but didn’t peel until I was ready), attached one other end to the wall, and then stuck the adhesive and the bar together as one on the TV. I think my issue is that I had to install looking down from above the TV on a step stool since it’s high on a dresser.I like that it includes the ability to quickly and easily adjust how close I have it to the wall if needed. So it’s mostly fixed in place, but not completely. The metal doesn’t feel heavy, but it still feels strong. I feel safer with the metal option vs some straps I was seeing, as this says it will prevent backward tipping as well; a concern not just because of my daughter’s safety but also due to earthquakes. Just to feel extra secure I may go back and use the screws.

There's probably some products where you don't need instructions, but something that people are buying for safety isn't one of them.Without instructions someone is bound to install it wrong.I bought this along with TV straps to protect my toddler since he likes to shake the TV. Both didn't include instructions which is so cheap or lazy - not even a QR code or link to a video or instructions on the Web. Terrible. Also, the included screws were far too small/narrow for the VESA holes on my TV.

One of the images for this product listing is sexist, indicating installation is so easy, “girlsâ€can do it.
