I used this harness to install a Pioneer DEH-X6700BT in my 1995 Dodge Neon. The wire colors matched up with the Pioneer's colors and made it easy to wire the radio correctly without cutting the car's wiring harness. There are numerous videos online that show how to wire up a radio to these harnesses. The best one I found showed how to solder the harness to the radio's harness. I soldered mine, and used heat shrink tubing to make a nice professional looking bundle. After soldering, I also put several plastic zip ties around the wire bundles so the wires would tuck neatly in the dashboard without tangling. In my opinion, if you just wrap the wires together and then cover with electrical tape, you are guaranteeing that you will be re-wiring the radio sometime in the future, along with dealing with sticky adhesives from the tape.. If you don't know how to solder, use the butt joint connectors that crimp on to the wires. The only CON I have is more for Amazon than for the wiring harness:Be aware this is considered an "Add-on Item" since it is so inexpensive. Be sure you order it with your new radio, or you may end up having to spend a lot more money elsewhere for it.

Well you really can't fault Metra with this - when you are done putting together the system with the wires, it looks like a multi-colored Octopus. You would think in this day and age we would be using standardized connectors and wouldn't need to hand-wire things together to do something like replacing a car stereo. But the fault is with the car-companies, not Metra. Metra's harness solution worked as easily as possible. That said, you do need to hand connect about 20 or so wires, and Metra does not provide the caps/connectors to do that in the harness. So remember to order a bag of small wire connectors with this. I did not know to do this until I had both the stereo and this harness and attempted the installation. Not having the connectors meant I had to again order and wait about 3 days.I used the twist-on type - easy to use, protects the connectors, but isn't pretty. But once the stereo is installed, all the ugly wiring is out of site. Also be sure you have some kind of crimping tool - i.e. a tool to strip the sheathing off the ends of cables. I had one already, but if you don't do this sort of thing often, you might not have one.

1998 dodge ram 2500, with infinity sound system, works great! Didn't need to change anything everything wired up directly to the deck wiring.

Ive updated my review here.when i went to install it. I realized they sent me the wrong harness. (Or so i thought)The clips fit but the grey plug has missing wires (again my mistake was that i thought all the wires should line up)I went to a car audio store and saw the ones they install and theyre the same ones. I talked to the tech and he said these are fine.
