The Metra ES 300/330 02-06 Single DIN Dash Kit is a perfect fit for my wife's 2002 Lexus ES300, and the color matches the dash exactly. The factory air conditioning vents, clock and flasher button snap out of the factory fascia, and snap back into this new Metra fascia. You reuse the chrome trim pieces on the sides and the plastic clips from the OEM fascia. You can install a double DIN head unit or a single DIN head unit. The supplied storage pocket is used with single DIN stereos, and it's a great place to put the iPhone, iPod, or USB flash drive.Before this product was available, the best option was to buy the Navigation fascia from a Lexus dealer (about $120.00) and use filler pieces to close the gap on the sides of an after-market stereo head unit since the Lexus factory navigation screen opening is wider than a DIN head unit. This Metra kit is a nicer looking option. The only negative is the Metra fascia has no "H-M-00" nomenclature under the clock buttons like the factory fascia has, so you'll have to rely on the tiny engraving on the factory buttons for hour, minutes, and reset when setting the time.I wanted to keep using the Lexus factory speakers, amp and subwoofer, so I purchased a Metra TYTO-01 JBL Amplifier Interface Harness which includes active circuitry to handle the stock amplifier turn-on. This plugs right into the Lexus harness to replace the factory Premium Sound System head unit which is made by Pioneer, so don't be concerned that the harness is for JBL since the same harness also works with Toyota models that use JBL systems. A single DIN Pioneer DEH-P9400BH CD Receiver completed the installation.

It’s a perfect fit, at first I was mad because there was a gap on the sides but then I realized I needed to use the chrome pieces on my old dash.

The color matched just about right, I had to really focus and look at the dash kit at certain angles to see slight color difference with the oem dash.The only tedious part of installation was removing the clips, hazard button, clock and the two silver trim pieces from the oem dash and installing onto the aftermarket dash.The fit was close but not perfect. There is a small gap between the silver trim piece passenger side, the drivers side was perfect. its not completely flush at the bottom where it meets the temperature control panel.Overall, it does its job and you have to use it if you decide to upgrade your head unit. I dont think theres another company that makes these so what else can you do?

Great product and fit. At first I had the same concerns as some people about the gap in the upper fittings on both sides after install but I soon realized that you have to remove the silver covers from the factory radio to make it a flush fit.

It fit on, but there was a few mm gap in between my vents and dashboard. Kind of drives me nuts if im being honest

My wife and I bought a 2004 Lexus ES330 a few years ago. We just went with the factory stereo, I figured I'd just replace it when she wanted modern technology (factory wouldn't even play mp3's and had a CASSETTE PLAYER!). Well, that day was shortly after we bought it, and so I started checking with local installers to see what could be done, since I couldn't find any info on aftermarket solutions for it myself. The local guys all told me the same thing: There's no aftermarket solution, you'll have to have a dash piece custom made. That would have cost hundreds. This product saved me hundreds of dollars!This is a double-DIN dash plate that replaces your factory dash plate. It's painted the exact same shade of grey, so it's a perfect match. Combine this with the Metra/Axxcess TYTO-01 and you can put just about any stereo out there into the 2004 ES330 and have it look factory. Thanks, Metra!

I finally replaced the stock stereo in my ES 300. This works great. I had issues with the stereo (not this kit) and had to have the service place pull apart the dash 4 times in all to make this right. But the kit has held up just great. It feels like it came with the car. And the new stereo feels great. Thanks.

I had to cut the face plate to slide my stereo through as it was small even for 7" .Metra should make different sizes accordingly.

As the picture shows, the kit was not the same color gray. Also the fit is not not very good in my opinion, lines do not match up.
