Works as it should. Nice sharp tips and makes drilling in concrete easy. Have not tried a mirror or tile yet but should work it you have a starter hole without issues. Great product for the money. Worth the price.

I've been fighting to break up the last bits of an old sidewalk, and these bits have been indispensable in that project. They get through the cement like it's nothing. Really impressive. They don't seem to wear down very quickly either.

I received these with the intention to use on a home concrete project. My hope was to use these bits to make the necessary hole size and install some anchor bolts. I used a roto drill and after destroying two of the bits I was able to drill the hole. These bits work, however not exactly amazingly. After testing these I would say 4 out of 5 stars.

These 6 mm masonry drill bits come in a package of 10 and at the time of review had a price of $29.99. From a packaging point of view, they are fantastic, the front plastic panel slips off and there is a cut in the backside of package which allows you to stand the product up and remove the bits very easily. I purchased a similar set from Bosch and the plastic container they came in was single use and non functional. Esthetically, they are a metallic green color, which makes finding them easy on the ground, and have a diameter of 6 mm or 1/4of an inch which is conveniently stamped on one side of the ¼ inch hex shank. The bit is approximately 4 inches long with the cutting flutes being approximately 2.5 inches long. The tip has a sharp point is shaped like a sharp Phillips head screw driver i.e. there are 4 flutes perpendicular to the shaft and every 90 degrees. I tested this using my Dewalt DCF850 impact on a variety a surfaces and it worked great. Firstly, is the runout was minimal and made drilling a tight hole easy. Secondly, the instructions tell you to use water as a lubricant. I tested this on what I think I the hardest surface to drill through which is porcelain tile because it is hard, which makes it slippery and hard to get a bite and the hole started. The really sharp tip helped with this and just some water helped make a nice hole. What I’m not sure about is my technique. Wasn’t sure about speed and pressure. I tended to start the hole slow and moderate pressure and once started, moved to faster and less pressure. Definitely no where near full beans. Ran 4 holes and the tip was still sharp. Also tested this on bricks and concrete and it was definitely easier than porcelain tile. All in all a good product with good durability. Not sure how many holes you could get per bit, but on the surface at least as good as the Bosch bits that I bought.

The bits fit smoothly in a ½†standard drill chuck with no slop or slippage. The bits are ideal for all types of masonry drilling: brick, concrete, ceramic, and clay tile. ProTip: A key element to a clean, easy-to-cut hole as well as ensuring extended drill bit life, ALWAYS use water to cool the bit and help flush out chips. Also, set your drill to its low range and it is essential that you don’t “force†the bit into your work – let the bit do its job by providing even positive pressure. Forcing the bit into the work or using the bit dry will excessively overheat the bit and quickly dull it. I tried these bits on typical small projects such as mounting a mailbox to the side of my friend’s brick house and anchoring a couple of brackets in a concrete wall. The bits performed smoothly and efficiently. They are ideal for drilling small diameter holes up to 3-4 inches deep in normal-grade concrete or more porous materials like brick and cinder blocks. They work great for installing Tapcon screws as well. They are not contractor-grade bits you’d use for harder grades of concrete, for that, you would need SDS hammer drill bits.Since I am evaluating this product as part of the Amazon Vine program, I am limited to a 30-day window to submit a review. To determine drill bit durability and length of life, I intend to monitor this product over the next 12 months. Should anything change over this period, I will update this review accordingly.Cost-effectiveness and value: Overall I am satisfied with the product; it does the job easily and conveniently. Proper care will last quite a few jobs. At a current price of $28.99 plus a $10 off coupon (or $1.90 each), I feel that this product is fairly priced for the quality and functionality delivered.
