Seems like you do get what you pay for. Don't buy cheap bits and get frustrated or even damage a project or injure yourself. Get Bosch quality bits and enjoy getting a project done well.

It's Bosch, so you know the set is better than any of the store-brand ones.Like the fact that the set has 3, 1/8" bits as those are the most common for concrete screw holes.

My retail space has perimeter walls made of brick and cinder block, which means that everything goes up with Toggler Alligators and 18-8 screws. However, to get the Alligators in, I have to drill, first. That's where the BOSCH BM5000 Fast Spiral Masonry Set (14-Piece) comes in. I use one bit for the Alligators, and a small one for the little plastic sleeve-type anchors. The BM5000 bits make quick work of the brick, with no walking, tip burn, or bit failures (yet). Better yet, at just over $1/bit, this set is very inexpensive. Recommended

Drilled four pilot holes to install a post base. Can not vouch for durability, but i didn't have a problem.

I bought these, and another brand name, at the same time from Amazon. Had a job to drill four holes in some brick on the outside of our house, these bent when they got hot, the other brand name (begins with de and ends with walt) did the job.

I used the Bosch masonry bits in a standard drill and they worked as advertised. I would suggest not using too much force to try to "muscle" it. I'd use the bit with light to medium pressure and let it do the work. Then give it a few seconds to cool. It will make the bits last longer.And even if you abuse it they are at a good price point to replace.

"Not for hammerdrill use", only discovered that on the package after receiving this. Even so, I used 'em in a hammerdrill anyways (I didn't care about killing a bit), they did do *something* in a pinch, however these are really only good for basic drilling into soft masonry.
