This crab clamp has a very versatile and sturdy design. It comes with adapter hardware, but to be clear, it does not include an actual microphone clamp/mount/sleeve. You screw your own mic clamp/mount/sleeve onto this clamp. An important observation about the minimum adjustable interior diameter of this clamp follows. It clamps down very securely onto my thicker mic stand which has tubing that is about 21mm in diameter. However, It CAN NOT be adjusted down to a small enough interior diameter to fit securely onto the 16mm diameter tubing of the telescoping extension of my other mic stand. The smallest adjustable interior diameter of this clamp is about 17mm wide, as measured by my ruler running from the surface of the gripping foam on one side of the clamp's interior, directly across to the surface of the gripping foam on the other side, as it would grasp a round mic stand. That renders this clamp useless for many telescoping mic stands, unless it is going to be placed pretty low down on the stand where the tubing is wider. I ordered the size option that was advertised as having a slightly wider maximum adjustable interior diameter than the other option with the same minimum adjustable interior diameter. I suspect that someone simply forgot to adjust the minimum adjustable interior diameter specification for this larger size clamp when they were writing the ad and mistakenly stated it to be the same as that of the smaller clamp. I am very happy to have this nice, versatile clamp in my gear kit to use on my thicker microphone stands, but people who only own one size of mic stand should be sure to measure the diameter of its tubing (including each telescoping extension) first so they can order the correct size clamp.

The clamp does not clamp around the minimum diameter indicated in the description. I kept it because I found another use for it.

The swivel part of the clamp was not strong enough to hold a 12 inch gooseneck and microphone. I am going to keep it because I figured out how to make it work. I removed the swivel and connected it directly to the clamp

This is a great clip for mounting cameras, or other mics onto a boom pole or otherwise type of pole. This clamp is nice and secure and very durable in construction and build. It comes with a mounting screw adapter that will fit in mount your mic, clips, or other type of mics that I have that fitting. I like to also use it to mount my WebCams on top of the clip and then mount that onto a mic boom. With that being said, you can also get other type of clips and utilize them for example, a phone clip. I will allow you to mail the phone and search fashion. You can adjust the size of the clamp grip by twisting the folding tensioner, and then folding it in allows you to get that extra grip. There is a two ball joint system and a tensioner screw that allows you to have a very good range of motion for your end device and does a good job of holding well. I would keep the devices moderately sized as larger devices might put extra strain on this end piece. Otherwise, this is a great amount for the price.

I'm currently using this clamped to a mic stand holding an SM-57, and it's working out great. This isn't the sturdiest thing in the world, so I wouldn't think of mounting a heavier mic to it. But for regular dynamic mics? It's more than up to the task. Very adjustable, holds its grip well, and can grip to a variety of things besides mic stands. I sometimes do field recordings, so this will come in handy for that as well. Recommended!

This is a pretty nice clamp for microphones and cameras. The gripping surfaceshave soft inserts that don't hurt finishes. The friction lock, rotator joint has goodholding power and the "break over" latch is just right.I like the fit, finish and weight...they're all good. It's designed for mountingto a tube, or pipe, but the "jaws" are also square enough that it will mount, pretty securely to a table top, or other such surface...... Great"Hope this helps!
