My goto tool to crack open an avocado to eat fresh or make guacamole. Works better than first expected. The pit extractor works once you get the hang of it. Much safer than using a knife.

Saw this avocado tool at a friend's house. Soon as I saw it in action I knew I had to have one. I am not disappointed, the tool is easy to use - makes processing avocados a quick and easy products and no more sliced finger. Plan to give these as gifts.

The knife is excellent. Just sharp enough to penetrate the avocado skin but not too sharp to slice YOUR skin. I never liked plastic edge because it never penetrates the skin easily. The scoop is okay. Not great but gets the job done.The pit remover is useless. It CANNOT "grab" on to the pit because it's too CONFINED (just look at the product picture) so there's NO Twist Motion (the right way to remove the pit) so If I'm PUSHING the pit out, WHAT'S THE POINT?! After three avocados I gave up. It's also very awkward to hold for pit removal operation as it feels very unnatural ergonomically and positionally speaking. CLEARLY, it was never tested in the real world. Back to the knife poking method. I'd skip this one. Don't know how it got the high ratings.

I knew the day would come when I would be a victim to 'avocado hand'. After nearly slicing off the tip of my finger, the search was on for a tool. The pitting technique took a few tries. The firmer the avocado, the better the pitter works. A fully ripe avocado is a no-go. I also use the tip of the blade to pierce the avocado first before slicing through. The soft grip handle is of good size and is comfortable to hold and does not slip.

I use this tool in my restaurant and it’s a great item to have. It makes working with avocados super easy and efficient. Would definitely recommend it for anyone!
