This is an excellent purchase, especially for novice users. As a dog breeder, I bought this to check my puppies’ stools for parasites before vet visits, and it has been a game-changer. The clarity and precision it offers are outstanding, making it easy to use and incredibly effective. I’m amazed at the high quality, especially considering the low price. I highly recommend it!

This is a school-type microscope. It has three objective lenses, two eyepieces, and a light that mounts under the slide. The objective lenses rotate into position and lock. The light brightness is adjustable. Requires two AAA cells for the light.The microscope comes with some prepared slides to look at. Also includes blank slides, and some tools for preparing them. There is a photo showing all the parts it comes with.To install the light bracket, you need to tilt up the upper part of the microscope and remove a screw that is not obvious.There is only a single focus adjustment, so you have to turn it very carefully to get good focus.I was able to look at a blood sample and see the red cells. This is a good microscope for the price, with a wide selection of magnifications, and produces a sharp image. Next time it rains I am going to look at some puddle water and see if I can spot any microorganisms.This is a good gift for someone who is interested in science and the natural world, or if you want to create such an interest.

Unleash creativity in the love of science for your child. My son obsessed with this small microscope.It comes with so many different slides and items to make curiosity and learning so much fun. This was the perfect find for a child that loves science and the curiosity of seeing things magnified. The look and details are amazing. You would not think that this is being advertised for a kid. But it smaller than a true microscope. It’s sturdy and well made. The quality is great. The weight is not heavy but good enough. It’s a perfect gift. Worth the price to challenge a child off of screen time and getting the wheels in their head turning. I am amazed at the lens and the magnification. His first view was a fingernail. He got the biggest chuckle and was calling us all over and it didn’t stop at that next was a hair strand it kept going and going. He doesn’t get bored and he treating it like he got a gold mine. Don’t sell a kid short and leave them without this. He truly loves it and I am so happy that I was able to get it.

Straight out of the box, I did not think this microscope looked too bad. That was until I looked more closely at the details, and even more so after actually testing it.The optics were not great, but not terrible; just everything else. The mirror holder is held in be a screw, held together with a rivet, and does not allow for tilting the mirror unless you leave the screw loose. I soon found out the mirror holder was leaps ahead of the lamp holder and lamp (illuminator), which was totally plastic. Needless to say the plastic lamp holder and plastic lamp enclosure were greatly lacking in quality.I soon discovered the stage was also 100% plastic and flexed quite a bit. Nor did the stage include a diaphragm for controlling the amount of passable light.Then we come to focus. There is only a coarse focus knob. Fine focus does not exist. Here is where a lack of quality truly shows itself. When you rotate the focus knob in and out, the subject matter you are viewing moves left and right in the eyepiece. Why? Because there is so much slop in the rack. (The rack is located between the tube body and the arm body.) The rack also lacks an adjustable stop. Not quite sure what will prevent driving one of the higher magnification objective lenses right through your slide without a stop.The set of slides was nice to include. It provides something of interest to get kids stated with. The remainder of the included accessories, I did not even bother to look at. I was so disenchanted with the microscope, I did not care what else was included, or not encluded.I had a Selsi microscope while growing up. We are talking 50+ years ago. It was a professional lab quality instrument compared to this. Had I know just how high quality that microscope was, I would have saved it to pass down.I don't know. Maybe I expected too much. If you want something to entertain a child’s interest with, I suppose this would suffice. If you want something more suitable for school/educational work, I would look for something better. You will be far happier in the long run.

This Eyemocsin brand microscope has been great to use! The slides are of quality glass (dropped the whole pack and none broke or chipped), the clarity of the lens is great and easy to adjust, and it's very easy to use. This would be a great gift idea for kids or even adults getting into science, or those who are in school and want some extra practice at home. I've loved using it so far and using the attachment to take photos of everything on the slides.
