These lenses were bought as a stop gap to replace some lenses that were soaked in emersion oil. They are 1/10 the price of a comparable lens from out supplier, but they are better quality. For beginner microscopes that don't get cleaned very well these are a great replacement lens. These lenses are used in an educational setting.
