Be careful with this NMO adapter, because that magnet will pull HARD. The 12' cable is awesome for complex antenna setups. I've used this with both the MXTA26 6dbi whip antenna and the 3dbi stubby antenna. They both work well.1. Use a stubby antenna for areas with tall buildings.2. Use the whip antenna for any other purpose -- you will more likely be able to reach repeaters with a whip antenna.Whilst this works best with Midland antennas, it will work perfectly fine with other antennas that use the NMO connector. I've used this mag mount in varying weather conditions, and it's never fallen off.

This antenna holds on hard with the 32" MXTA26. Center of my cars roof and kicks butt. Great swr match with its supplied coax

When matched with a Midland antenna and radio my SWR is 1.01:1 on the same spot on the car with a different GMRS antenna and mount that barely got under 2.0:1. I use the 3 gain antenna when around the base and driving in mountains and the 5 gain when on flat terrain. 5 gain tx is a flat pattern that does not work well in mountains or hilly terrain. Beware that gain patterns matter depending on where you are using any antenna. Bigger is not always better.

Used for both GMRS and 2 Meter. Works well. The rubber pad ripped but put some electrical tape on to replace the pad.
