I've purchased many of these from other manufacturers and they come with a small metal case to keep things together, this comes with a plastic bag. Needs a case.

I had a Charles Daly 1911 commander which I added LE grips to and used this to site it in. I have recently acquired a new 1911 and added the same grips to it. I looked for my bore laser but as I've been known to do I misplaced it and couldn't find it. Fortunately this item is reasonably priced so I picked up a new one and have sighted in my new Magnum Research 1911 Commander. All I have left to do is test it so I can't comment on accuracy just yet but I'll stop back once it's fully sighted in. I'm expecting similar results to my first encounter with this bore laser.

After reading information on several different types of .45 APC bore sights. i managed to pick a loser and returned it. After more research I picked this one and it worked perfectly.

Taking into consideration what this laser is for, and the importance of accuracy, I have a major issue with this item. When using other lasers for different calibers and vendors, those lasers come with O rings to ensure a tight fit in the barrel helping center the laser beam. This laser doesn’t have a tight fit, nor the O rings, causing the laser to be loose in the barrel, therefore the laser is slightly off center, which is even more noticeable the farther the laser hits the target.Even shaking the barrel causes the laser move a little. So the laser is not accurate.

I am using the MidTen 20-Gauge Bore Sight to improve my shotgun mount while practicing in my home. Previously, I mounted my shotgun in front of a mirror or while following edges of walls and ceilings. After mounting, I would check my mount by looking at the front bead on the muzzle of my shotgun. This lead me to the bad habit of checking my lead after mounting my gun while shooting clay targets and resulted in lots of missed targets. I then tried practicing my gun mount by inserting an LED pen light into the muzzle of my shotgun. This allowed me to focus on the target and eliminated the desire to check my front gun sight. However, the projected image of the pen light was too large to discern variations in mounting.I now use the MidTen 20-Gauge Bore Sight. With it installed in the chamber of my otherwise empty shotgun (always check first), I can continue to focus on the target the entire time while practicing and I can detect and correct subtle wobbles in my gun mount that would result in missed targets. Using the MidTen 20-Gauge Bore Sight , I am improving the repeatability of my gun mount and at the same time my scores have improved. So, while I can't comment on how the MidTen 20-Gauge Bore Sight works for bore sighting a shotgun, I highly recommend it for indoor gun mount (low to high) practice.

Worked at home, not accurate the position of laser changes when you rotate it inside the chamber, took it to the range a week after had the batteries removed cause no on or off switch, never worked in the range... Changed batteries and still not working, just a heads up make sure to never fully close the bolt in as this thing will get really stuck in there and you won't be able to pull it off unless you have tools

Outside is well finished, but laser pointer inside is carelessly fitted. It seems like pointer was centered using 4 tiny screws, then fixed in place by epoxy. Laser in my unit was obviously leaning to one side even before I placed it in the chamber.I guess I got what 15 dollar pays for.I tried to adjust the position by removing some epoxy, but was unsuccessful. So I gutted the laser out and use the outer shell as a decoration.
