It works without any problem, it's just a matter of configuring the internal combination and you're ready to go

We bought a Mighty Mule gate opener years ago and it ended up sitting in the box, in the basement for a decade. I nagged enough that the husband finally got around to installing it this summer. By then, the included remote would not work, nor would the key chain one we bought at the same time. We bought and installed new batteries, but still they didn't work. So finally, I ordered three of these Mighty Mule transmitters, as well as a post-mounted keypad. By golly, we finally can get in and out of this place! Unfortunately, during the winter when the temperatures got very cold, the opener would not function. After several calls to Mighty Mule about the problem (and having to pull the cotter pin and keep the gate open for weeks), the husband was given advice to hook up a second battery to the opener, that the cold temps were draining the opener's battery (even though we had bought a new one). Apparently, the cold was too much for it and it needed a second one to give it enough power to activate the gate opener. One day we put a heating pad on the battery to get things to work, and they did. Now, I'm not happy about that---why should you have to hook up an opener to two batteries? But, that's not this transmitter's fault. So yes, the remote transmitter is fine, but the idea that one needs to hook up the actual opener to two batteries during cold weather seems a little extreme. It's not like we live in Alaska---we're in Missouri.

These things work very well on our GTO gate opener. Easy to program and their range is very good. My driveway is about 150-175 feet long and these remotes operate the gate from the road. Also, the batteries seem to last a very, very long time. I do however remove the oem battery and replace them with Duracells.

I had my Mighty Mule remote gate opener clipped to my belt while weed eating the lawn, the clip broke off and I lost the remote. Never could find it. Over 6 months later, I found it laying in the garden area. This was right after the big winter storm that hit here in Texas in February, 2021. The ground was thawed out when I found it, with the remote having been buried under 5" of snow and ice for over a week. The temperatures during that time were below freezing, getting as low as 7 degrees.I took it into the house, took it apart and let it dry out. I checked the battery and it was of course dead so I replaced it. Put it all back together, installed a new battery and it works like it was brand new. Needless to say I am very impressed with the little remote. It went from 100 degree tempts in the summer to freezing tempts in the winter all while lying in our outdoor garden for over 6 months.

Easy to program if you have an existing remote. I’ve bought aftermarket remotes not mighty mule brand and they only worked for a few months before failing. Just spend the money to get the brand ones. It’s worth it. Bonus, fits great on my motorcycle keys.

Worked as desired straight out of the delivery satchel. I pressed the button while the remote was still in it's vac formed package and the gate opened. Seriously, Mighty Mule should include a second remote as standard.

Nice and compact. Seems to need to be pressed and held in order to open the gate, but it always works. I start the gate opening when I'm about 100 feet away. It's almost completely open when I get to the gate.

Easy to program and works a treat. Delivery time not too bad based on current state!
