I purchased this stand specifically for my Flugelhorn. It is mechanically a tripod stand .... but becomes Top Heavy when you place a Flugelhorn on it and then tips over ..... dumping the Flugelhorn onto the floor ! Totally missed when they described this product. DO NOT BUY FOR A Flugelhorn STAND !!

A flugelhorn will wobble terribly on this stand, no matter how the spring tension is adjusted. Get a Hercules peg type stand, or On Stage trombone stand.
