Stable and adjustable. Frame is magnetic, probably steel tubing. Cone for bell seemed OK, but concern for scratch potential led me to cover it with the foot section of a soft, thick sock. Used daily for about 4 months and would not want to be without it. Dependable, predictable, stable. Can't imagine a better stand for a single trombone, and no reason to think it would be less stable with an F or bass attachment in that neither would significantly alter the center of gravity.

I bought this to put on my sax stand, for the trumpeter player that comes and sits in with us. I found I could also use it for my Cannonball Soprano. The bell has a slight curve at the base of it, thus a regular Soprano Sax stand doesn't work for it, but this one does if you lower the base down to the bottom. Fits perfect!

Screws nicely into existing stand. I wish they told you the thread size and pitch though, I have other sax stands, one has different thread size Will not work on alto sax necks, too big. After each play, I separate horn to neck to mouthpiece. Rinse them out with cold water, swab, then pull a swab through them and put the neck o this part of the stand to dry separately and not wear out the tenon or neck.Works well for me for this purpose

This PEG is adjustable. I have different settings for various trumpet bells. Out of the box, the default setting is for a B flat trumpet bell. If the bell feels wobbly on the PEG, adjust using the lever on the bottom of the flare. Make sure the PEG is screwed in securely to the base.

Using it as an alto flute stand. I have the base and pegs for my C and picc. It's not a perfect fit for the alto but better than nothing!

I bought the DS537B for my saxes and needed (okay, wanted) something for my trumpet as well. This fits well with a variety of trumpets and cornets due to its easy to use adjustable whatever you would call that piece. Does not scratch or eave residue on the inside of your horn.

This is a terrific trumpet stand. It is ingeniously adjustable to mate with any bell shape. The only complaint is that the screw mount frequently works loose from my base and needs tightening.
