I already have a few Milwaukee batteries so this rear handled circular saw it self is a good bargain.1. Weight: At about 10-11 lb, it is one of the lightest circular saws I have looked. My old corded one is almost 15 lb. Easier for my arms and hands.2. Power: it cuts through wood without much difficulty. As powerful as, or maybe a little more than my corded saw.3. Brake: the power brake stops the blade in one second. May reduce the chance of possible accidents.4. Battery life: my 6 Ah battery can power through small projects no problem. I have a few of them, so never worried of running out of battery.5. Design and quality: red color of the brand always give me the feeling of power and energy. Always trusted the quality.

I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. He has the older one with a normal handle, but this has the rear handle. It has a little bit more weight to it, which lets him control it better and get a cleaner and straighter cut. The operation of it is very smooth and the cut quality is great. It also came with a pack of blades, which was awesome. If you’re into carpentry, this is a must have.

Great circular saw, it's "soft start" where you don't get that abrupt start. Note that it's a bit heavy similar to AC powered circular saws

Have much experience with worm drive saw corded electric. I installed 6 AH battery, cuts wood very well. Saw is lighter than my corded Rigid worm drive. Feels like a quality saw No cords to fuss with, or to get in the way. I cut 2x4 several times, cuts like it was hot butter. Very smooth running and stops Immediately on release of trigger. Nice job Milwaukee! Spent over 45 years as a carpenter, wish I had it 45 years ago. Any tool that you would borrow is worth owning! I have no trouble with using large powerful saws. I would recommend this saw. I have many 18v rigid tools 15 or more. I am slowly switching over to Milwaukee. Great tool.

I have been drooling over this saw for awhile... probably since it came out but couldn't get myself to spend the money because I didn't have the use for it...well just bought a new house, and it's a fixer upper and I finally have a use for it.Granted I just got it...but out of the box I'm already impressed. Only have a 5ah battery (have a 12ah ordered) and with that it was cutting both 2x4s and 3/4" plywood like a knife through hot butter.Between the weight, ergonomic design and the position of the blade making a straight cut is extremely easy with one or two hands. The ambidextrous safety trigger is a nice touch, though takes some getting used to. And I love the blade light, very nice feature.Granted I can't speak about it's longevity, since I just got it, but I've never had a problem with Milwaukee. All my Milwaukee tools are powerful and extremely reliable and I'm sure this will be no different. And the shipping...I gave up prime because I got tired of paying for something that was supposed to garentee 2 day shipping only to wait 3-4 days at best to get it, so naturally I just used the generic shipping object....got it two days later even though it was projected to arrive at a min. 5 days out. Very impressed. The only thing I found odd but I'm not complaining, is it was shipped in a home Depot box from home Depot and not the Amazon retailer I ordered from. This doesn't bother me because I know a lot of retailers are simply brokers selling other companies overstock and what not, and I got it way cheaper than from home depot's shelf and still sealed in the original packaging, I just want to let others know so they arnt shocked.

Like almost all Milwaukee tools, this saw is well made, but accuracy is not perfect. The blade's not quite square with the sole plate when set to the stop and fiddling is required to get it just right. This saw's heavy, so maneuverability is no better than a worm-drive saw and definitely inferior to a top-handle direct-drive. I never even considered the 12 A-hr battery. The 8 is more than sufficient and a good deal lighter. Since I've lived in the Milwaukee cordless tool universe for a while, I have several 5 A-hr batteries that are lighter yet. They work fine. Smaller batteries translate to shorter run times but when you have several, it's no real disadvantage and their lighter weight is a real fatigue saver. When there's no grid power, this saw cuts like a corded one and is great to have.

Added this circular saw to my existing collection. I've invested into Milwaukee tools and products and I couldn't be any happier. This saw cuts through the wood easily and effortlessly. Who needs power cords today? Anyways, I was happy that there was a larger blade since I have a smaller 6" blade for a previous version of this saw. Very happy and item arrived just in time to fix a broken fence due to wind damage. Superior quality and reliable is what I expect from this tool and all my Milwaukee products!

My third cordless circular saw. Stronger and more durable than others. Worm drive is the way to go

I didn’t like that I had to order the battery separately

this is a very handy saw - I have used a corded D handle saw all my life - having the convenience of no cord is an absolute bonus
