These seem like they will be rock solid. I just got them today and tried them without the insert. You definitely need the insert to keep them from sliding off. The smallest thickness insert worked for me. Once I put that on, no more sliding. I will see how they perform for me over the next few months. Stay tuned!

A little over priced but not bad. There's lots of these on Amazon, but these are the only ones that have metal screws not crappy plastic ones. Cost is probably $5 more than it should be tho

They have inserts that allow them to fit several “1 inch†bar sizes very well. They appear to be very well made.

I have 1†threaded barbell & dumbbell bars. The original threaded twist-lock collars are troublesome because they regularly spin loose while I’m lifting. Also, it takes too much time to spin them onto a long barbell.I got 2 different types of collars as replacements for my spin-on collars but they didn’t hold tight. So I got the previous (slightly-different) generation of these Zy-Huan collars and they worked perfectly. So I got a 2nd pair of slightly improved Mini Pro Zy-Huan style of collars, which also work perfectly. They quickly slide-on and quickly and clamp-tight. The slight improvement is that the hex-head nut on the Mini Pro version can be rotated—which allows me to make micro-adjustment (1/6 of a rotation) instead of a full rotation if you were to only use the levers. (On the previous version the nut was not rotatable so I could only do 1-turn adjustments using the lever. The collars come with inserts installed for 1†barbells like mine, but there are two sets of inserts for other barbell diametersThe price is a bit high, but they seem well-made and do exactly what I want, so I’m giving them 5-stars.

My weight set has what are supposed to be 1 inch bars, but if you measure them carefully they are actually 15/16. It appears this is a rather common issue. It’s not a problem for the weights, but the typical spring type clamps/clips don’t work, they are too lose. These ‘ZY-HUAN Mini Pro Barbell Clips’ are a perfect solution. With the added inserts, they can be set for a range of diameters, including 15/16 inch. I just chose the smallest diameter insert and slipped it into the holder (there is a tab to keep it in place).Tip: If the clip doesn’t fit the bar, undo the lock and turn it. This allows for finer adjustment. It fit perfectly and holds the weights in place securely.

They don't slide on the bar very well unless you have them loose; and then you have to tighten them before locking. Or you can have the screw set the the right tightness and have trouble getting them on. I wanted collars that are quick on and secure: these are not them.
