The version at the auto parts place is $30, it didnt turn on the fan. I hot wired the fan, it works. There's some online versions for $10. I came across the Mishimoto, it says it turns on earlier, at a lower temp...80 degrees? Well, my manifold sure feels hotter than 80 degrees. Even so, the device works, the fan turns on, and temp stays down. So, it saved the day. It looks just like all of the other temp switches, but must have some gold part inside that makes it turn on at a lower temp, and makes it $50.

Worked great on my 93 civic that had a problem overheating. I popped this on and it would keep it cooler. Probably not the use that this was intended for but it saved me from paying for a more costly repair for a while.

Works as advertised. Perfect Fit on my 2000 Honda Civic Ex (D16Y8 Engine). Car runs cooler as a result.Edit:it stoped working with less than a month of use. car overheated, had to fit back the oem fan switch. not good.

This is just what I was looking for. Replaced stock sending unit and after a few minutes fans came on. Thought the wiring to ecu was fried but it works perfect keeps car cool. I would reccommend this for anyone

Worked for ten minutes then the fan ran constantly. Failed closed after 10 minutes. I pulled my Mishimoto thermostat and threw it out too. If this failed that quick there is no way I'm running their stat.
