Your cart is empty.It is commonly known that Ford 6.0L Powerstroke engines have extra solid particles left over from casting the engine which can clog your trucks factory oil cooler, EGR cooler, and other critical engine components. Mishimoto has released a direct-fit coolant filtration kit for the 20032007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke to help prevent your truck from being a victim of factory cooler clogs and failure. The application-specific mounting bracket mounts a precision CNC-machined 6061 aluminum filter mount and Wix coolant filter to the passenger side radiator support area, an ideal location for easily removing the filter. This Coolant Filtration Kit is routed in parallel with the flow path of your coolant system and allows a small amount of coolant to be filtered with each pass. The Mishimoto engineers also included two brass ball valves with this kit to help make changing the filters a clean process. wow, it fit perfectly and easy to install, each part packaged separately and all parts are included except the teflon tape you'll need about 1' of that. great vid. on youtube for install. says 45 min. install but 30 mins is more like it with any luck. the Tee molded in the hoses look very professionally done and saves you from using 6 more hose clamps and 2. Tee's. i would say there's not a better looking setup out there. fast delivery and make sure you order an extra filter before you need it.

Bought this to replace the old and crusty ipr coolant filter my truck had when I bought it. Super easy install, holding pressure and coolant like it should without leaking!

I have installed at least a couple dozen of these on customers and my personal trucks.Best bypass setup on the market. All the cheap eBay or sinister style ones are garbage because the leak at the ball valves, after having several of the cheap style ball valves leak, I upgraded to the Mishimoto setup and have not has a single issue. It’s worth the price and really a decent valve for what you get to include the silicone hoses. The cheap kits also leak the T section because the cheap crimps leak and cannot be fixed, don’t have to worry about that with the Mishimoto one because it’s a seamless design. They also include quality hose clamps that won’t blow apart like cheap ones from harbor freight.

High quality product comes as a complete kit.Installs fairly easy and straightforward, using video instructions from Mishimoto's website.Note: I had to trim approximately 3 inches off the factory heater hose (1.5" at each end) to keep the hose from being bent completely closed in 2 places. Once I trimmed the hose fit was perfect. (on a 2005 Excursion)The hose clamps included are the cheap worm gear, do yourself a favor and get some factory spring clamps they hold 360* clamp and wont leak

Gotta go to YouTube for install video.Make sure you shorten up your heater core hose a few inches, I didn’t at first and noticed there was a bad kink by the firewall. Took it off, cut a few inches out of it and reinstalled. Also, when you purchase, also purchase another Wix filter, PN: 24070. You will want to change the filter after 500miles.

Great kit & I had no issues or any trimming needed. I got my coat on and two pairs of socks 🤣 & went at it this morning in 30 degrees. I drained about 7-8 quarts of antifreeze & had nothing leak out of the heater hose that needed removed. Already had a New egr & oil cooler installed so I flushed the radiator several times & filled it with elc coolant. After running your truck/van several times check your fill level & make sure to not go above the fill line as your tank needs this air pressure space for expansion. This filter system should assist in preventing clogging & keep your radiator in service for longer. I love 💖 my 6.0.... did I just say that out loud.Update November 2021: Before I installed this kit I drained then added water, ran it down the road to open up thermostat, went home to drain. I did this 4-5 times to purge the old antifreeze & crud out. Then added the HD ELC Coolant & this filter kit. I ran this first filter 8,918 miles & you see how clean the filter turned out. I was surprised it was so clean myself but now that I know I'll run this filter 15,000 miles easy! Mind you this truck has 90,000 miles on it when I took this filter off to replace it. If you truck has like 100k more miles & unknown maintenance it very well may not come out this clean.

This kit is solid and was on my doorstep in 2 days. Was going to buy the sinister kit but I didn’t want to cut and splice into factory coolant lines. Went with mishimoto because it has a molded T for the degas bottle line and pretty great reviews. Also I’ve heard bad things about the sinister kits, they cost over twice as much, leak, and the valves fall apart. This mishimoto set up is the way to go.

Fits as it should and does pretty well at filtering. I cut open the filter and it got some pretty nasty stuff out of my engine. I would recommend this for all 6.0 powerstroke engines.

For an inexpensive by-pass filter system the price (always much more in Canada, eh?) was reasonable. The fit was flawless. Quality of materials above average. Took me about 45 minutes to install (as they said). The second one would take 15 minutes. The installation instruction set at the website could use some better graphics. Deserves 6 stars!
