I was skeptical spending $20 on a rubber cork i could probably make myself. But I bit the bullet since it fit the spec for my Ford "pencil neck" power steering pump. It fits the pencil neck PERFECTLY.Coupled with the Mityvac 8500, this worked great in getting the air out of my system.

There have been some reviews that this tool doesn’t work on GM power steering pumps with notches for the cap. I have used this several times on my 2007 Tahoe and it works perfectly. You need to push and turn until you get this adapter far enough into the neck of the pump. Also make sure your MityVac vacuum hand pump is working properly itself and can hold a vacuum.

This mityvac steering fluid vaccum would not stay in place on the steering fluid reservoir. It did create a vacuum but I couldn't leave it alone with the vaccum staying on it as is needed to get all the air out of the system. I returned this item and bled the system by jacking up the car and turning the wheels which is what I was trying to avoid having to do. But if this would have held steady in the reservoir without my holding it down to do the job I think it would work great.

Sealed my power steering pump reservoir pretty well. I used it to pull air out of the system.

Great Tool for what it is; I bought this to do a full flush/clean of my clutch fluid and it did the job. My '05 LS2's clutch reservoir has a shape that requires you to press down quite firmly on the adapter before you get a seal. The downside is given its depth, you have to create a vacuum to suck up some of the fluid displaced by the adapter itself. This was a major challenge and caused a few minor spills, which I had prepared for with lots of towels to prevent corrosive fluid going anywhere in the engine bay. I would've docked a couple of stars for this normally, but this isn't built primarily for clutch fluid reservoirs, so I refrained from giving it the 4 stars that it really deserved in my application.Ultimately, I recommend it when nothing else is available for a clutch fluid flush, and it would definitely work on multiple other types of reservoirs as well.Additional Info for 2004, 2005, and 2006 Pontiac GTO Owners:Try Motive Products 1100 Master Cylinder Adapter for Clutch Fluid changes

Doesn't fit a Traverse/Acadia very well. If those are your intended uses, get the wider one from Matco. PN# HW72100

what I liked about this product was that it was shipped on time and then later that week I was able to work on the power steering pump and replace the fluid in the reservoir but the hole in the top of the reservoir was kind of smaller than what the tool was so I had to grind off some of the end of it so that it would fit in there but once I did that everything work fine great product

This works as advertised and does the job well when hooked up to a vacuum pump. It's a quality product and glad I bought it. As others have noted, be careful if you're looking to use this cone shaped adapter on a Ford; there is another Mityvac tool made especially for Fords (MVA662).

Works with my mityvac vacuum/pressure pump kit. Great for bleeding air from power steering system when vacuum is applied through the reservoir
