This took some finesse to keep everything together when starting to remove the pulley, but once you get it started it works great. Re-installing the pulley was way easier if you pop the pulley in the oven at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes (Use gloves!).

Stripped out after one use, junk, delayed project considerably.

It would be nice to have directions. I've used one before that had directions. It's not something that you use every day. So, directions are helpful. They did work fine. I replaced a cracked power steering pulley.

Needed this to replace the pulley on a GM power steering pump (new pump did not come with a pulley). This tool worked great to remove and install the pulley. Decent tool for the price!

When you buy a tool it should be able to perform the job it was designed for at least once, and a good tool should be able to perform that job many many times before needing repair. I bought this, knowing it was my cheapest option (cheaper than Harbor Freight) so I figured it wouldn't be top quality, however it didn't even get the job done once. The treads stripped right away and like other have said, lost a lot of metal in the process. After tapping and re-threading half way through the job I was able to remove and reinstall my pulley, but this was a single use tool. Unfortunately I bought this 6 months or so ago and didn't get to the job until yesterday, so it couldn't even be returned. If you need this for more than one job, don't buy this one.
