I think this is bleached bone, not unbleached as listed. At any rate, with a little bit of work (deepening the slots and sanding the side edges), this is just what I needed for my Squier VM fretless bass.

Item is not a proper fit and requires heavy modification to be usable. I just threw it away as there are other and better options than having to cut this in half to make it usable.

I bought a cheap 6 string bass off of Amazon. When I changed the strings, I started to get a buzzing sound from the G string. I changed the nut with this one. No more buzzing.

You might need to file the notches just a bit depending on the gauge string and how close you like the strings to the fretboard. If you're building basses and can cut the channel to fit the nut, it works great.I have had no issues with these.
