Design: Tusq is a man-made material that has the look of ivory, but far exceeds its sonic properties. Unlike ivory or bone, Tusq is absolutely uniform in its structure. It has no soft spots. Thus, it transfers the string vibrations perfectly to the guitar.

I was getting a fret buzz that adjusting the neck would not eliminate. Original bone saddle for my 1990 Hummingbird was too far sanded as I eliminated the under saddle transducer. With some sanding, the tusq saddle fit nicely. The buzz was eliminated with the neck adjusted to Gibson specs. The sound is much brighter than the old shimmed bone saddle. Would recommend as a replacement. Make sure you buy the 1/8†saddle for Gibsons. Some research online (You Tube) would be recommended in saddle replacement if your not familiar with acoustic guitar setup.

GraphTech Tusq Saddles are the only ones I use for replacing worn-out saddles. They're easy to sand and shape to the size and radius for your acoustic guitar. This purchase was for an upgrade to a 52 year old Epiphone with a 12" radius resulting in perfect intonation and low action.

This OEM saddle fit my 2013 Gibson Hummingbird perfect with a little sanding, mainly the bottom. Of course, working with Tusq products it takes a little more time to sand/fit. It sure made a HUGE difference. As you can see, the only compensation in the saddle is on the B string. It transfers the sound evenly and clearly across all strings and brought back that original first sound out my bird like the first day I brought it home 9 years ago!

Fits perfect in the bridge. Takes about 20-30 minutes to sand with 80 grit to adjust the height at a playable level.

I purchased this as an exact copy of the saddle that came on my Gibson Songwriter Deluxe Studio. I kept the original intact, so that I can always return to factory settings, if desired. I sanded the new one down slightly to fit my personal preferences. Keeping the bottom edge square to the sides seemed to make quite a difference in the overall sound. Maybe it needs this coupling to perform at it's best. In any case, this is a great product. You can have the bone vs synthetic argument all day long. I own both and I actually prefer the Tusq, although they both work well. This is a relatively inexpensive way to trick out any guitar. Keep pickin'!!

I used this saddle on my vintage Gibson Nick Lucas parlor guitar. the clarity and tone are outstanding. the material is fairly easy to work with in adjusting correct height, intonation is perfect and I'm stunned at how much improvement in sound I can hear. I have 9 other vintage Gibsons and they'll all be getting upgraded to this saddle.

Fits Gibson Songwriter perfectly. Looks & sounds great! I did a TINY bit of shaping on the bottom (less then 2min total) to get a better fit but was even able t do it with a pocket knife RIGHT before a show (not recommended LOL)I've included a pic of old & new so you can see how it's an exact replacement for the Songwriter (& how I waited WAY too long to replace mine) The yellow color of my old was is just from its 10 years of exposure to the elements

Best Quality for the Money, and machined perfectly for each instrument. Takes a slight amount of skill to properly adjust the height of action by sanding the saddle. be patient, better to remove too little and try again versus getting in a hurry and blowing it.
