I've been playing guitar for decades, but this was the first nut I've ever replaced, and it worked well for a friend's 12-string acoustic that I just repaired. And there was no doubt it is made of real bone, because when I ground on it with my rotaray tool to size it, it smelled just like the last time my dentist hit my tooth with his drill. LOL. And it did not melt or deform at all from the heat. I'm very satisfied with the quality & ease of working with this material. Would definitely buy again if needed.

Prompt delivery. Nicely spaced string slots, very acceptable depth. Just rounded off some edges and dropped it right on. Haven't even had to glue it yet. String height is good, although I can accept a little bit high as it's on a resonator guitar. Cheap guitar with new locking tuners and bone nut. Life is good.

The bone nut was the right size and the string slots were spot on in spacing and depth What I was disappointed at was it was supposed to arrive in two days and it took over a week and ups kept sending notices that it would be delayed not good

I found a guitar in the trash and decided to try and rebuild it they fit perfectly for the guitar I had be sure to just measure the neck and other frets on your guitar before selecting which size though! We got lucky and the fit was nice and snug. We've been playing the guitar and they've also held up.

These are pretty nicely made bone nuts for nylon string guitars. They're pre-slotted but it's just a series of notches you can use to start your files to file them to depth. I don't have a guitar that needs a nut right now but I'll be sure to use these the next time I build one, they certainly will save some time.
