MNA Tongue & Groove and 45 Degree Lock Miter Router Bit 3-piece Set (1/4” shank). A quick and easy way to accurately create boxes, stretcher bars, frames, and an assortment of right angle or parallel joint projects.
How to set up a lock miter bit for a perfect joint
Step 1: Find the center of the bit
Finding the center of the bit (Fig 1), the centerline corresponds to a carbide corner. Make sure your router is unpowered. Rotating bit blade toward the cutting object. (it should be perpendicular to cutting object).
Step 2: Center the bit on the stock
Mark a centerline on your test board. Setup by aligning the bit center point to the center line of the board. Please adjust the height of the bit and the fence until the center line is meet the bit center point in both horizontal and vertical positions. (Don’t expect perfection, you will use sample cuts to fine-tune the height).
Step 3: Make a test cut
Prepare a pair of test pieces in the same thickness as your workpieces. Run a test cut and check the fitting of the joint. You will need a fine tune until they fit together seamlessly and both faces are flush you are set.
Instructions and adjustment:
Please cut the groove first, make sure cutters, guide bearing arranges as Fig 1 and the wrench tighten. Using a scrap piece that’s the same thickness as your stock for a test cut. Fine-tune the bit height until the groove is centered.
Cut the tongue with a scrap piece that’s the same thickness as your stock for a test cut. Check the fit of the tongue in one of your grooved workpieces. If it’s too loose, add washer(/s) between the bearing and top cutter to increase the height until fitting with the groove.

First you get exactly what you are promised, however these guys are a little deceptive. Made in China, despite the big U.S.A. On the packaging.

Used the 45 degree lock miter router bit to create true 45 degree angles on bins that would be used in a French cleat setup! Once you get the settings correct on your table saw, creating your boxes for power tool storage is easy. The fittings were so tight that I almost didn't glue them in place. I ultimately did glue boxes together for some of the heavier power tools. The MNA tongue and groove bits were used on my plywood floor panels. These worked out really well as the panels reinforced flooring already in place. I used 3/4 plywood for the flooring. Tongue and groove flooring worked great without any gaps or bowing of wood joints. Consider these purchases a success!!
