It came in quickly, but I have not had a chance to use it yet. It looks like it will hold up well and do a good job.

If you've never used s finger jointer, you are missing out on some great fabrication opportunities - especially when using reclaimed wood in thin stick that is too short. For those who don't know what this is, Google finger jointer in woodworking. (Yes, "board stretchers" do exist!

Good side, good sharp bit made clean cuts in hard wood. First use was in PurpleheartBad side Horrible fit of joint. Cutter tips were suppose to be 5/32 (0.1563). Cutter tips were around .162, spaces were around .153. This left the fingers much smaller than the gaps. This leaves a VERY loose fit. These numbers may not sound like much But if you are making a nice piece like a jewelry box or in my cace a custom dice tray for a gift it is not pleasing. My plan is to reshim the bit to see if I can get a better fit. I would not recommend this bit.

This worked well for the about 4 joints I needed to make. It worked just fine on hard maple. Can’t speak for the durability or longevity.

Good enough for the amateur, dyi, weekend warrior. Reason being, the spacing between cutters is irregular. Had to buy additional spacer washers to even them out. The curf on one of the cutting disk is wider than the others. The heads move when cutting no matter how hard is tighten. May be it is because the extra washers. In any case the better alternative cost over $100 and for a couple of times this was used could not justify the expense. So this is good enough. Just practice with a few scrap pieces until you dial it in. Good luck.
