Nice quality, but it only works well if you are mounting on your left side as sitting on toilet. Otherwise the open end will be towards the toilet risking a bump and TP IN the toilet, and the decorative knob at the tip of the arm will be unseen as it will be facing the wall.You cannot swap the direction. You can turn it upside down, but then there will be 2 visible holes, and the screw that mounts it to the bracket will be sticking up a bit.If the holder could face the other way, I would have given it 5 stars.**There is a photo in the listing of a hand behind the holder to show its size- that picture is inaccurate.

Looks good but have been through two of the same product in 2 years. Small screw in bottom of unit has failed twice so arm becomes detached and flies off with slightest usage

This was a perfect replacement to one that was broken by one of our tenants. I had a snafu with the install where I installed the bracket upside down, but that should have been obvious and was my fault. Other than that, it works great and looks great.

Purchased 12/20, easy to install (if you have a teeny screwdriver to tighten the set screw) and two months later on 02/20 it fell apart. It was not used often, only by one person. Window to return it is closed, so I'm stuck with this thing snd having to reassemble tighten it again, etc.

Perfect for me as I have arthritis and it is much easier putting the paper on and off with this type of holder. It was easy to install and looks nice. It was well packaged and arrived by estimated time given.

I much prefer this type of toilet paper holder. The Moen Madison toilet paper holder is solid and heavy. It holds the paper securely. Of note, if you purchase this type of paper holder, it is important that you install it such that the open end of the holder is facing away from the toilet and not towards the toilet so that the toilet paper roll will not fall off of the holder every time you use it. One negative about this holder is that it is not designed to allow one to reverse the part that holds the toilet paper roll. The only way to reverse it so that you can put the holder on the right of the toilet is to put it on upside down, thus exposing a small screw that should be on the bottom. It is not a big deal but if I had it to do over again, I would purchase Moen DN8408CH instead of this one. I purchased the Moen DN8408CH at the same time I purchased the Moen Madison and I prefer Moen DN8408CH because you can reverse the holder for left or right without turning it upside down and exposing a screw.

They only are for one direction and the screw holding the holder in place keeps coming loose. Otherwise it’s a good product
