I have dropped this many times onto concrete and it has not broken yet! It is pretty accurate, however only measures beta, gamma, and x-ray. It also includes a dosimeter function. It is quite easy to use, and includes in-depth instructions in the user manual. Overall, a good product for the price!

I had a SOEKS radiation detector that reveals my cat has 20 uSv/hr next to her and this device picks up nothing - it stays on .01uSv/hr. THIS IS GARBAGE.

Our cat was irradiated for thyroid disease.I bought this device to check the litter box and other items around the house as her radiation levels diminished.It's easy to use and provides plenty of information and modes for detecting radiation levels.Well worth the investment.

Does include the J321 geiger tube. Haven't tested much but I was happy that it does include the good tube.

So many detectors in this price range have lousy sensitivity. This one has the J321 GM tube which for a cheap detector is an excellent tube. It easily shows increased activity on Uranium glass and easily detected the increased activity from Thorium infused welding rods.There are better radiation detectors out there but not at this price point. Not only that but there are many more expensive units that do not perform as well as this one.
