This pad adds just enough padding and cushion under my area rug in the living room. It is a little oversized but easily trimmed to perfect size. I would rather it be a little big than too small. Offers firm but comfy padding. Lays smoothly under the rug. Not too lofty. Great product

We bought a beautiful rug on a trip to Morocco and had it shipped to our home. Once we got it down, we realized it felt thin and uncomfortable on our tile floor. So we decided to buy a rug pad.We had previously purchased rubber rug pads, and while they worked, they were very thin and didn't add much to the cushiness of the rug, so this time, we decided to try a thicker felt rug pad.It arrived quickly, and we unpacked it, put it down on the tile floor in our bedroom, and placed the rug on top. We realized that the rug pad was about an inch bigger than our rug. So we took a pair of ordinary scissors and cut a tad more than an inch so the pad would not be seen under the rug. It cut fairly easily, without any felt bits falling all over. We placed the rug on the pad, and it looked great—not too thick.But the real test was walking on it. It felt great (no pun) - not too cushy. It made our Moroccan rug feel like a thicker, more substantial rug. It did not feel like we had a rug pad under it. We're so happy we're considering replacing our other rubber rug pads with felt ones.

It was nice and soft. Gave great cushion to my rug. But it was to slippery on my hardwood floor. So much so i slipped and broke my wrist. I had to throw it away. It would be better if one side was non slip material.

Works as should, adds nice additional padding underfoot. A little tough to trim with regular scissor shears, but is trimmable; although leaving behind a lot of fuzz during the process. Not too high of padding underneath the rug, the Eufy robotic vacuum can still climb up and vacuum across rug. Have bought same product for other rugs in house, nice quality at this price point. Used on LVP flooring safely.

Affordable Carpet Pad - Lays flat and hold the rug in place on the hard flooring. The thickness is just right, thicker rug pads can create a trip hazard. Very happy with the purchase and would recommend this pad to anyone with an area carpet.

This rug pad arrived in a mostly sealed plastic wrap and seemed good. When I unrolled it though, I noticed that the area that was exposed from the protective plastic looked like this (see pics). It was dirty and had a slight musty smell. I'm sure it's just dust and what-not from sitting on a shelf in a warehouse. It didn't seem to want to come off, so I went ahead and put my new cream-colored rug on top of it. Maybe I should have sprayed it with bleach or something from the get-go.My dogs, who are fully potty trained, peed on that spot. Not once, but TWICE!!! Ugh..... The first time I used spray carpet cleaner on this spot, let it air dry, then put parchment paper on top (and all around). Then I used my carpet cleaning machine for the NEW rug. I allowed that to dry completely for 24 hours. Mind you, this is only 48 hours of having this new pad and rug. The next day, when I went to remove the parchment paper, they peed again. Unbelievable!!! This time, I put my brand new washable rug in the wash machine and cleaned the pad with spray bleach.What a nightmare. I should have just returned the padding. This is my 2nd time buying this padding (first one is in our master bedroom and I L O V E it!!) from this company. So, I was hopeful this spot was just dust. Apparently, whatever was mixed with the dust did not sit well with my dogs causing them to mark their territory. The dark discoloration is still on the pad, as it was when it arrived (brand new, out of the package in the pictures provided...I should have taken after pics). The bleach did not bleach the coloring at all and did not jeopardize the integrity of this padding. I guess I'm more upset with myself for not sending it back and asking for a newer one. My mistake.The padding is really good. It does not markup LVP flooring and has a slight rubbery feel to the back side. This keeps it from moving around. It's really nice. I just had bad luck with this one.

Great rug mat it was easy to cut down to size and provides ample padding for my rug. I've also re-purposed the scraps to be used as padding under the legs of furniture such as table as chairs to prevent scratching of my flooring.

The ad says 100% felt. This suggests soft, flexible and spongy like a felt insole for your boots. This underpad crunches when you walk on it. It seems to be made up of some kind of felted material that includes hard chunks of a plastic like material. This is just the opposite of what we wanted from a carpet underpad. As it was too much trouble to send it back we used it under a basement rug. Definitely do not recommend the product.

This came in one piece and was square (some reviews mention underpads this size arriving in 2 pieces and not being totally square). It adds a nice softness to our area rug. It was exactly the size indicated & I had to trim a bit on two sides so it wasn't exactly the same size as our 10x14' area rug (I didn't want it to show on the edges) and it was very difficult to do, but that's because it's so dense, which is a good thing. I didn't notice any unusual smell and I'm very happy with the purchase.
